Criticism of BJP’s Historical Narrative by Congress Leader Pramod Tiwari and Insights from Farooq Abdullah on Nehru’s Strategic Decisions.

Pramod Tiwari pointed out the BJP’s trend of criticising Jawaharlal Nehru, emphasising that such assertions are made conveniently in the absence of Nehru to respond. Tiwari credited Nehru’s intelligence and efforts for retaining Srinagar, highlighting the vital role played during that critical period.

Farooq Abdullah, an ally of the Voice of Media Breaking News and Web Stories Congress party, added perspective, claiming that India would have lost Poonch and Rajouri if the army had not been redirected to save them. He asserted that both Lord Mountbatten and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had suggested involving the United Nations in the matter, indicating the complexities and considerations involved in the historical decisions.

A Congress leader criticises the BJP’s focus on historical events, particularly the cursing of Jawaharlal Nehru, while pointing out unfulfilled promises after the abrogation of Article 370. The leader highlights unmet commitments, such as the end of terrorism, the safe return of Kashmiri Pandits, and the delay in holding elections. Amit Shah, on the other hand, attributes Kashmir’s challenges to Nehru’s decisions, terming them “two blunders” during a Lok Sabha address.
